Business Leased Lines

Business Leased Lines
A leased line provides you with a dedicated connection between your premises and the local exchange, which means you don't share your bandwidth with anyone else and your connection isn’t disturbed, it is all yours! It connects your site to the core of your internet service provider’s (ISP) network.
Also, you will benefit from the same speeds for both download and upload if you use leased lines. Download is important when you are wanting to access streaming services, but upload can be more important for sending large files, for example. There are different types of leased lines:
-
Fibre Leased Lines. This provides a dedicated symmetric data connection by sending light through fibre optic cables.
-
DSL Leased Lines. DSL is used to provide different types of lower bandwidth leased lines.
-
MPLS Leased Lines. This is a technology called Multi-Protocol Label Switching.
Dedicated leased lines can carry several types of traffic ranging from internet traffic like web pages, emails and video streaming, to WAN traffic, which is typically data that is sent internally, between different offices of the same company. These lines can also be used to carry telephone calls internally and externally.
A fibre optic leased line works by sending pulses of light down a pure fibre optic cable, and the data that is being transmitted travels at the speed of light. A leased line is 'uncontended', which means that the line is dedicated solely to you and no one else can access it. Fibre optic leased lines are the popular choice but please visit our-form to find out whether a leased line will suit your business, our experts will be more than happy to assist.
